The Daytona Global high-output alternator kit is a complete 32-ampere charging system upgrade that solves the common electrical woes found on older machines. This kit fits most Big Twin models from 1970 through 1999, covering the Dyna, FX, FXR, Softail, and Touring families. It includes a high-performance rotor, a heavy-duty stator with all necessary hardware, and a rectifier/regulator. This system is a direct replacement for OEM 29985-87 and provides the extra amperage needed for modern accessories and reliable starting. When installing, I always recommend checking the clearance of the alternator wires to ensure a trouble-free setup. It is a robust solution for riders who need consistent electrical performance from their Evolution or Shovelhead.
