About This Product
This S&S crankshaft assembly is a serious upgrade for Evolution Sportster builds, specifically designed for 2000–2003 models. Unlike the factory units, this is a five-piece design CNC-machined from heat-treated steel forgings, making it significantly stronger than stock cast or steel flywheels. It features a separate sprocket and pinion shaft, allowing for future rebuilds—something the OEM 23905-00 unit doesn't easily offer. It comes balanced and ready to install with stock 1200cc pistons. A key advantage is its compatibility with 1986–1987 style pinion gears and oil pump drive gears, which are known for their superior strength. Whether you're refreshing a high-mileage motor or starting a performance build, this assembly provides the durability and serviceability a Sportster needs.
