About This Product
When assembling the cylinder heads or internal components of an S&S X-Wedge engine, you need fasteners that won't back off under pressure. This Grade 8 hex head lock nut is zinc plated for corrosion resistance and features a 5/16-24 thread with a 17/64" height. It is a specialized piece of hardware designed for the XW-series engines, including the X114, X117, and X121 variants. These engines are found in high-end custom motorcycles and the Morgan 3 Wheeler, where reliability is paramount. S&S Cycle specifies Grade 8 hardware to ensure maximum tensile strength.
