About This Product
This V-Twin starter housing spacer replaces OEM 31531-69. It fits 1965–1982 Big Twin and FX models. Use it with Delco-Remy, Prestolite and Hitachi starters on late Panheads and Shovelheads. It sets the correct depth for starter gear engagement. A worn or missing spacer causes the clunk and grind you get from poor alignment. Fit this during a primary-side overhaul and the starter will engage cleanly.
