About This Product
V-Twin starter housing part for 1980 through 1988 FLT Touring models, 1982 through 1988 FXR models, and 1987 through 1988 Softails. Replaces OEM 31572-86. This component supports the starter motor assembly. It keeps the motor indexed correctly to the primary. Replace it if the original housing is cracked or distorted. Fits FLT, FLHTC, FXR, FXRS, and Softail Custom among others. A warped housing ruins starter drive alignment.
