About This Product
V-Twin starter shaft replaces OEM 33120-79. It fits 1980-1988 FLT Touring, 1982-1988 FXR, and 1987-1988 Softail models. The shaft carries the starter drive and transfers torque to the engine. Bearing surfaces and splines wear over years of use. That wear causes slow cranking or intermittent starting. Fit this shaft during a primary or starter rebuild. It restores proper engagement and handles the load of cranking a Big Twin.
