Stratstone Harley-Davidson Birmingham Has Closed
For a long stretch, Stratstone Harley-Davidson Birmingham was where riders across the West Midlands headed — a showroom at Waterlinks Motor Village on Lichfield Road in Aston, tucked in beside the Gravelly Hill Interchange that everyone just calls Spaghetti Junction. It traded under the Stratstone name, the premium-retail brand of Pendragon plc, and its relationship with Harley-Davidson reached back to 1995.
That run has ended. As Harley-Davidson pruned its UK dealer network and Pendragon refocused on its core car business, the group stepped back from the marque and the Aston showroom shut its doors. Unlike one or two of the group's other Harley sites, Birmingham did not carry on under a fresh franchise — it simply went. So a city of more than a million people, the second-biggest in the country, now has no Harley dealer of its own.

Behind the Stratstone Harley-Davidson Birmingham name sat Stratstone Ltd, part of the Pendragon group — one of the biggest motor retailers in the UK, far better known for its car showrooms. When Harley-Davidson reshaped its dealer map and Pendragon's priorities shifted, the Birmingham motorcycle business was one of the casualties.
