Southampton Harley-Davidson Has Closed
Southampton Harley-Davidson shut its doors on 19 November 2024, after 22 years trading at Heritage House in Millbrook. The closure was not strictly about Southampton — the dealership was one of three businesses owned by Marsh Motorcycles Ltd, and on the same day the parent group, Marsh Holdings Ltd, filed a notice of intention to appoint an administrator. Plymouth Harley-Davidson, run by the same group, closed the same day.
It was not an isolated case. By the end of 2024 the UK Harley-Davidson dealer network had shed seven franchises, with Oxford, Norwich, Reading and Watford all shutting in the same stretch. For a rider in Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset or the Isle of Wight, the nearest franchised counter is now a longer trip than at any point in two decades.

The Dealership at Millbrook
For more than two decades, Heritage House was the only authorised Harley-Davidson showroom on the central south coast. It sat in Millbrook, on Second Avenue, just inside the M271 spur — an easy reach from Eastleigh, Romsey or the New Forest, and a sensible run for riders coming up from Portsmouth or down from Salisbury. Sales, servicing, MOTs, clothing, a parts counter, and a workshop that knew the regular bikes by sight.
It traded as Southampton Harley-Davidson, but the legal entity was Marsh Motorcycles Ltd — a Devon-based company that built a small portfolio of motorcycle franchises over the years; Plymouth Harley-Davidson and Triumph Plymouth ran alongside it. When the holding company went into administration in November 2024, all three went with it.
What has not changed is the bike in your garage. Genuine Harley-Davidson parts and good aftermarket alternatives are still made and still sold — the only real difference is how you get them, ordered online and delivered rather than picked up from the counter at Heritage House.

What Harley-Davidson models do you supply parts for?
