The drive shaft for the scavenger and breather gear is a central component in the timing chest of a 45" Sidevalve. This Samwel-produced shaft is engineered to handle the rotational loads of the oiling system while maintaining precise timing for the breather. It fits all 1937 to 1973 45" models, including the WLA and Servi-Car. Replacing a worn or twisted shaft is vital to prevent oiling failures or crankcase pressure issues.
