Samwel scavenge oil pump idler gear. This is the idler on the return side of the pump for 1937 to 1973 45" Sidevalve engines. It replaces OEM 26326-37. The scavenge side pulls oil from the crankcase back to the tank. A worn idler gear hinders that process and can leave oil in the cases. Fit this during a comprehensive engine rebuild to keep the bottom end dry and efficient.
