About This Product
S&S white-coded pinion shaft gear kit for 1954-early 1977 Big Twin Panhead and Shovelhead engines. This complete kit includes all components on the pinion shaft and is intended for scratch builds and full engine rebuilds. Must be used with a 1973-1999 Big Twin style oil pump driven gear (S&S 531209 or OEM 26345-73). Also compatible with 1954-1972 engines to increase stock oil pump RPM by 25%, replicating later Big Twin specification. Three sizes are available: white (smallest, this kit), brown (one step larger), and yellow (one step larger than brown). Consult the factory service manual for cam gear-to-pinion gear clearance before ordering.
