Loctite 290 is a green, medium-to-high strength threadlocker provided in a 50cc bottle. This low-viscosity fluid is specifically designed to penetrate already-assembled fasteners through capillary action, making it ideal for securing set-screws or bolts up to M12 (1/2") after they have been positioned. It provides a 10Nm bond on M10 hardware and can also be used to seal small porosity in welds or cast metal parts. Stable up to 150°C, it requires heat and hand tools for disassembly. Loctite 290 is a specialized solution for Harley-Davidson maintenance where fasteners cannot be easily removed for traditional locker application.
