This S&S size 242 manifold is a specialized intake for 103-inch stroker engines based on the 1966 to 1978 Shovelhead and 1957 to 1978 XL Sportster platforms. Designed for use with Super G carburettors, it is built for engines with a 5.630-inch cylinder length. This is an O-ring type manifold, providing a classic seal for vintage heads. When you are pushing a Shovelhead to these displacements, intake alignment is everything, and this S&S casting provides the exact geometry needed to keep the air flowing smoothly into those big-bore cylinders. It is a heavy-duty part that stands up to the heat and vibration of a high-performance vintage stroker motor.
