About This Product
James Gaskets top end gasket kit for 45" Flathead. Includes .020" embossed copper cylinder head gaskets and .020" cylinder base gaskets. The kit contains all seals and O-rings needed for the job. Fits 1940 to 1973 45" Flathead models. Replaces OEM 17031-40 and 55-40. Copper head gaskets transfer heat well and tolerate the uneven decks found on these old motors. Anneal the gaskets before fitting if they feel hard.
