About This Product
A top-end rebuild on a 45" Flathead demands high-quality gaskets to maintain compression and prevent leaks. This James Gaskets kit is specifically designed for the 750cc sidevalve engine and includes .020" embossed copper cylinder head gaskets for a superior seal. The kit also comes with .020" cylinder base gaskets and all the other necessary seals and O-rings to complete the job. It fits 1940 to 1973 45" Flathead models and replaces OEM 17031-40 and 55-40. Using copper head gaskets is a classic choice for these engines, providing excellent heat transfer and durability for your vintage top end.
