This Kibblewhite Precision Machining (KPMI) intake valve guide is a solid choice for rebuilding 1948 to 1965 Panhead and 1966 to 1978 74-inch 1200cc Shovelhead top ends. Cast from manganese bronze, this guide is designed for those who want a high-quality part that is easy to work with in the shop. While slightly softer than C630 bearing bronze, manganese bronze offers excellent lubricity and rapid heat transfer to keep your valves cool. The +.003-inch oversize outer diameter is perfect for heads where the guide bores have been cleaned up or slightly enlarged. You can easily ream these to size and finish them with a simple ball hone and drill. Sold individually, these guides are a cost-effective way to restore proper valve-to-guide clearance on vintage Harley-Davidson iron.
