About This Product
Restoring the top end of a 1948 to 1965 Panhead or a 1966 to 1978 74-inch Shovelhead often requires oversized components to correct worn head castings. This KPMI intake valve guide features a +.006-inch oversize outer diameter to ensure a secure fit in enlarged guide bores. Manufactured from manganese bronze, it provides excellent heat dissipation and lubricity for the valve stem. While it is a more economical alternative to C630 bearing bronze, it remains highly durable and is significantly easier to finish. You can quickly ream it to size and achieve a professional finish using a simple ball hone and an electric drill. Sold individually, this guide is a practical solution for maintaining vintage Harley-Davidson performance.
