For 1948 to 1965 Panhead and 1966 to 1978 74-inch Shovelhead engines, this KPMI intake valve guide offers a reliable solution for top-end rebuilds. This specific guide comes with a +.010-inch oversize outer diameter, providing the extra material needed for heads that have undergone heavy machining or have oversized bores. Made from high-quality manganese bronze, it ensures excellent lubricity and efficient heat dissipation from the valve stem to the cylinder head. This material is softer than C630 bearing bronze, making it much easier to ream and hone to the final required dimensions using common shop tools. Sold individually, it is an essential component for any mechanic looking to restore proper valve geometry on an older Harley-Davidson.
