For 1948 to 1965 Panhead and 1966 to 1978 74-inch Shovelhead owners, this KPMI exhaust valve guide is an essential part for a quality top-end rebuild. This guide features a +.004-inch oversize outer diameter, providing the necessary clearance for heads with worn guide bores. Manganese bronze is used for its excellent thermal conductivity and lubricity, helping to keep exhaust valve temperatures under control. While it is a more budget-friendly option than C630 bearing bronze, it is highly effective and much easier to machine. You can easily ream it to size and finish it with a ball hone and an electric drill. Sold individually, this guide is a reliable solution for restoring proper valve-to-guide clearance.
