About This Product
This KPMI intake valve guide is the heavy-duty solution for 1948 to 1965 Panhead and 1966 to 1978 1200cc Shovelhead cylinder heads that have seen better days. With a +.025-inch oversize outer diameter, this guide is intended for heads with severely enlarged guide bores that require significant cleanup. The manganese bronze material provides the rapid heat transfer and lubricity needed for reliable engine operation. It is specifically chosen for its ease of installation, as it can be reamed to size quickly and finished with a simple ball hone and electric drill. Sold individually, this oversized guide allows you to save vintage head castings that might otherwise be unusable, keeping your classic Harley-Davidson on the road.
