About This Product
Andrews' stock-size Big Twin cam gear (green) fits 1948–1965 Panhead and 1966–early 1977 Shovelhead engines. This crimp-on replacement restores factory-correct backlash in the timing gear train. If your Panhead or early Shovelhead has developed clicking or whining from the cam area, a worn cam gear is a common cause and this stock-size replacement restores proper mesh. The early cam gear measures approximately 70mm outer diameter, versus around 69mm on late 1977-up models. Cam gauge pins are available separately to confirm the correct measurement before ordering.
