About This Product
This MCS front replacement cylinder fits late 1973–1985 61-inch (1000cc) XL Sportster models. It is a black-painted cast iron unit with a stock 3-3/16 inch bore, replacing Harley-Davidson OEM part 16464-73C. The cylinder requires finish boring and honing before installation and is sold without pistons and rings. If your 1000cc Sportster's front cylinder is scored, cracked, or worn beyond serviceable limits, this reproduction casting provides a factory-spec starting point. Professional machine work is essential to achieve proper clearances before fitting.
