About This Product
This is an MCS cast replacement piston for 1972-1985 XL1000 Sportster. This is sixty thou oversize for barrels that have already been bored out. Standard 9:1 compression ratio. Wristpin and clips included. Rings sold separately. Cast construction gives a lower expansion rate than forged, so check piston-to-wall clearance during assembly. Professional installation by a qualified mechanic is required, and they must verify compatibility with existing components. Follow standard break-in procedure to seat the rings.
