About This Product
This is an MCS cast replacement piston for 1972-1985 XL1000 Sportster. This is ten thou oversize for barrels with minimal wear that need a light hone and slight overbore. Standard 9:1 compression ratio. Wristpin and clips included. Rings sold separately. Cast construction has a low expansion rate. Check piston-to-wall clearance during assembly. A qualified mechanic must verify component compatibility before fitting. Follow standard break-in procedures to seat the rings.
