About This Product
This standard outer camshaft bushing is designed for the #2 cam position, which is the rear intake cam, and is installed directly into the cam cover. It is a precise replacement for the original equipment, matching OEM number 25588-57. This bushing fits 1957 to 1990 XL Sportster models as well as late 1959 to 1973 45-inch 750cc Flathead engines. When you are working inside the timing cover, remember that these bushings are counted from the rear to the front of the engine, making the #2 position critical for proper intake timing on the rear cylinder. It provides a reliable bearing surface to keep your valvetrain stable and quiet.
