About This Product
This MCS clutch spring set is an OEM-style replacement designed to restore the proper tension to your Sportster's clutch pack. The set is sold as a pair and includes both the inner and outer springs required for the job. It replaces OEM part numbers 38080-71 for the inner spring and 38079-71 or 38079-72 for the outer spring. These springs are specifically for 1971 to early 1984 XL Sportster models. If your clutch is starting to slip or the lever feels weak, replacing these springs is a standard maintenance step to ensure positive engagement and reliable power transfer to the rear wheel.
