These .005" thrust washers are essential for achieving the correct cam end-play on 1954 through 1985 XL Sportsters and 1937 to 1973 45" (750cc) Flathead engines. Using the right shim prevents excessive lateral movement, which can lead to premature wear and unwanted engine noise. These MCS shims are a high-quality alternative to OEM 6770 and come sold in a pack of 10. Having a few of these on the bench makes the difference between a "good enough" build and a professional-grade engine assembly.
