About This Product
MCS rear wheel axle. Fits 1952 to 1978 K-models and XL Sportsters. Replaces OEM 41551-52. It carries the rear wheel and sets the alignment. Old axles often suffer thread damage or straightening bends from improper chain tension. Check the threads and the bearing shoulders for galling. Do not fit an axle that has been bent and straightened. Torque the nut to spec and check end float on the wheel bearings.
