This wire-type plug retainer is a simple but vital component for maintaining the electrical integrity of your 1970 to 1999 Big Twin, excluding Twin Cam models. It installs easily on the outside of the crankcase and serves a critical purpose: it helps prevent the regulator/rectifier plug from vibrating loose or disconnecting from the alternator stator plug. Electrical issues on these models often stem from poor connections at this point, and this retainer provides a secure mechanical lock.
