About This Product
MCS 23-tooth transmission sprocket. It fits 1952 to early 1979 XL Sportster models and replaces OEM 555711. The 23-tooth count keeps the factory gearing ratio for a balance of acceleration and cruising speed. Change this when you are doing a chain replacement or a transmission overhaul. A worn sprocket will ruin a new chain in short order. It suits Ironhead era drivetrains.
