About This Product
MCS shifter pawl. It replaces OEM 34478-75. It fits late 1975 to early 1979 4-speed Big Twins. These are fitted in pairs inside the transmission top cover. This one comes without the spring; order OEM 34482-53 if yours is tired. The pawl teeth engage the shifter drum. Worn teeth let the box jump out of gear or refuse to select cleanly. Replace both pawls together.
Manufacturer part number: 590170.
