About This Product
MCS shifter pawl retainer. It fits the shifter pawl carrier in ratchet top four-speed gearboxes on 1952 to early 1979 Big Twin models with foot shift. It replaces OEM 34525-54. Inspect this retainer for wear whenever you have the transmission top cover off. A cracked or loose retainer causes missed shifts or a jammed selector. Fit a new one while you are in there.
