About This Product
MCS 17-tooth first gear for the countershaft. Replaces OEM 35760-54 and 35760-54B. Fits 1957 to 1972 XL, XLH, and XLCH Sportsters with a speedometer drive gear. It meshes with the mainshaft low gear in the bottom end. If the teeth are chipped or the dogs are rounded the box jumps out of first under load. Fit this when you are rebuilding the gear cluster. Inspect the mating gear for corresponding damage before you button it up.
