If you're freshening up a 1937 to 1948 74-inch U-model Flathead or a 1948 to 1952 61-inch E or EL Panhead, these Hastings rings are the industry standard. This set is for a standard 3-5/16 inch bore and includes 3/32 inch gray iron parkerized compression rings alongside 3/16 inch chromed three-piece oil rings. We use Hastings because their flex-vent oil ring design is excellent for oil control in these vintage air-cooled motors. Before you slide these onto your pistons, double-check your groove heights to confirm they match these specs. It's a straightforward way to restore compression and stop oil blow-by on your classic Big Twin.
