This zinc-plated steel shifter rod end is a reliable replacement for worn-out ball joints that cause slop in your gear changes. It features a 5/16"-24 internal thread and a standard 5/16" (8mm) mounting hole, making it a perfect fit for stock linkages or custom builds using 5/16-24 rods. It fits a wide range of models including 1984 to 1999 Softails, 1980 to 1986 Wide Glides, and 1991 to 1992 Dynas, as well as the newer 2018 to 2026 Softail line-up. Whether you are restoring an Evolution-era bike or maintaining a modern Milwaukee-Eight, this heim joint serves as a direct replacement for OEM 33871-85B. It provides a much smoother, more precise feel than a loose factory joint.
