Restoring the braking performance on a vintage Big Twin requires attention to the smallest details, including the return springs. This upper rear brake shoe spring from MCS is designed for 1963 to 1972 Big Twin models equipped with drum brakes. Sold as a pack of five, these springs provide the necessary tension to pull the brake shoes away from the drum when the pedal is released, preventing drag and overheating. They are a direct replacement for OEM 41836-63 and part number 958327. While only one is needed per bike, replacing these tired, heat-cycled springs during a brake service is a cheap way to ensure your classic Harley stops reliably.
