About This Product
This MCS main wiring harness is a complete set designed for 1978 XLCH models. It is built as an OEM-style replacement, perfect for riders performing a ground-up restoration or simply replacing a brittle, aged electrical system. The harness features color-coded wires with pre-attached ends for a straightforward installation that mimics the factory setup. It replaces OEM 70001-78. Note that the handlebar, taillight, coil, and regulator wiring are not included in this main harness. As with many vintage parts, some minor modifications may be required for certain sub-models, but it remains the best way to ensure reliable electrical performance on a classic late-seventies XLCH.
