MCS oil pump by-pass valve spring. It fits 1941 to 1973 45 inch Sidevalve models and replaces OEM 26373-41 and part number 971230. The spring regulates by-pass pressure and can go brittle or take a set after years of heat cycles. Fit a fresh one whenever you service the oil pump. It is a small part but a weak spring will cost you oil pressure at hot idle.
