Maintaining the correct side-play for the reverse gear is the job of this MCS thrust washer. It is a direct replacement for OEM 35340-33 and 2292-33. This washer fits 1935 to 1973 45" Side Valve (SV) Flathead models. In a transmission, thrust washers prevent gears from rubbing directly against the case or other components, which reduces friction and prevents catastrophic wear. These are sold as a set of five, providing plenty of spares for your workshop or the exact number needed for a thorough gearbox rebuild. They are a small but vital part of a smooth-running vintage drivetrain.
