About This Product
MCS transmission mainshaft for the 45-inch side-valve Flathead. It replaces OEM 35043-41 and 2272-41. It fits 1941 to 1973 models. The shaft measures approximately 18.3 cm in overall length. A worn mainshaft lets bearings and gears run out of line and causes false neutrals. Check the gear splines and bearing journals for wear before assembly. Fit new bearings at the same time.
