About This Product
MCS chrome finned solid-state 12-volt regulator. It replaces early mechanical or later electronic regulators on vintage charging systems. It mounts directly to the generator in place of the stock end cover. The finned housing tidies the wiring. It gives a cleaner look. The kit includes an armature support needle bearing for the installation. It fits 1965 to 1969 Big Twin models and 1965 to 1977 XL Sportsters. It replaces OEM part number 977596.
