About This Product
This MCS oil pump drive gear shaft replaces OEM 26488-98 on 1998 to 2006 Sportster models. It fits the late Evolution 883 and 1200 motors. Inspect this shaft during any major service or oil pump rebuild. A worn shaft can cause oil starvation and seize the engine. This part drives the oil pump. Check the drive gear for wear and scoring when you have it apart. Do not reuse a pitted shaft.
