About This Product
This MCS valve spring compressor tool is the modern equivalent of the classic H-D 96600-36 style tool, designed for installing and removing valve springs on OHV engines. Fits 1936-2004 OHV Big Twin, Twin Cam, and 1957-2003 XL Sportster models. Note: Will not fit 2005-2017 Twin Cam models with Beehive valve springs or M8 valve springs, and will not fit Flathead engines. Optional adapter collar 998142 available for Beehive springs on 2005-2017 Big Twin (excluding 2016-2017 110-inch Softail), 2004-2022 XL, and 2003-2010 Buell XB. Adapter 998143 available for M8 springs on 2018-up Softail and 2017-up Touring. Replaces Harley-Davidson OEM part 96600-36.
