About This Product
Cometic cylinder head gaskets in .032-inch copper. These fit late 1973 through 1985 XL1000 models. They replace OEM part number 16769-73. Copper handles thermal expansion better than composite sheet and seals reliably once the head is torqued down. Check both the cylinder and head surfaces for flatness before fitting. Torque in sequence to the factory spec. Do not use sealant on copper head gaskets unless the manufacturer calls for it.
