Cometic cylinder head gaskets in .020-inch copper. These fit 1972 to early 1973 XL1000 models. They replace OEM part number 16769-72A. The thin material suits builders who want to tweak quench or raise compression slightly. Copper seals solidly and pulls heat out of the chamber. Check your piston-to-head clearance before you button the motor up. Torque the head bolts in sequence to the factory spec. Do not fit these if your barrel or head surfaces are not true.
