About This Product
These Cometic Multi-Layer Steel cylinder head gaskets are a significant upgrade for 1966 to 1984 Shovelhead engines. Sold as a pair, they fit both 74-inch (1200cc) and 80-inch (1340cc) standard bore applications. These .040-inch thick gaskets are constructed from stainless spring steel layers coated in high-temperature rubber, providing a much more resilient seal than traditional materials. They are a direct replacement for OEM 16770-66A. The MLS design is particularly effective at handling the thermal expansion of Shovelhead cylinders, ensuring a long-lasting, leak-free seal that can withstand the rigors of the road. The layers are riveted together outside the gasket surface to make installation straightforward for any mechanic.
