About This Product
Comes with outboard support bearing. This belt drive kit is basically identical to the great working regular BDL 3" open electric start kits. The difference is in the BDL outboard bearing support system; for improved strength and rigidity. Comes with the BDL ball bearing lock-up clutch and a 72-47 drive ratio. Note: On 86-88 Softail models; that originally are equipped with the old style ''separate solenoid'' starter; modifications are necessary. These include a transmission housing (opening up the starter hole to 2-1/8") and clutch release arm modification to install the later (91-up) style starter that is required for this kit. Note: See 518586 for the replacement 3" 141t. 8mm belt.
