About This Product
This is the BDL SG-3 replacement starter ring gear. It has 66 teeth and mates with the 69-tooth 2-inch drive clutch basket. It fits the 2-inch BDL Signature Series belt drives on 1990 through 2006 Softail models. It also fits the 2-inch BDL 500 Series drives on 1970 through 1978 Shovelheads and 1990 through 2006 5-speed Softails. If the starter is grinding, check this gear for wear. A damaged ring gear will chew up the primary drive if you leave it.
Manufacturer part number: SG-3.
