About This Product
Jims rod lapping tool. American-made kit. Used for finishing connecting rod surfaces to get the correct clearance. Includes an arbor assembly with 1 1/2-inch and 1 5/8-inch lap heads. Fits Big Twin and Sportster bottom ends. Equivalent to OEM 96740-36. You use this when the rod faces need lapping to match the bearing. It corrects imperfections so the rod seats properly. Do not skip this step if you want the motor to live.
