Zodiac starter shaft shifter collars replace OEM 31503-70. They fit Big Twin, FX and Softail models. These locate the starter drive engagement within the starter drive assembly. Worn collars cause grinding and poor starting. Fit new ones when you have the primary open or the starter motor out on the bench for service.
