About This Product
This pinion shaft seal ring is a vital component for maintaining proper oil pressure and separation in the timing chest. It fits 1939 to 1973 45" Sidevalve engines as well as 1952 to 1956 K and KH models. Manufactured by Samwel, it is designed to sit on the pinion shaft and provide a reliable seal against the cam cover. It is a direct replacement for OEM 24696-39. Because these rings are subject to constant friction and heat, they should be inspected and replaced whenever the cam cover is removed to prevent internal oil leaks that can affect engine performance.
